Meeting Clutchy Hopkins

This week something very strange happened to me. I was able to meet the elusive and mysterious musical genius known as Clutchy Hopkins. I found myself out by Joshua Tree in the desert Thurs night. Someone tipped me off that Clutchy was recording at an associate's studio out there. So some guy came and met me in the Food-4-Less parking lot and took me into this dirt road into the heart of the desert. I was led into this studio, and there was Clutchy, jamming away on some of the illest tunes I've ever heard. He let me hang out and listen. I took a couple photos of the studio and he got mad at me. So then I just painted the door of the studio while Clutchy jammed! We even did a collabo piece together (the fifth photo up there). I crashed out on the studio floor and the next day everyone was gone. Fucking weird. But no doubt about it, Clutchy is the real deal, and can play music like no other. Pure magic. You can learn more about him and hear his music at: www.myspace.com/whoisclutchyhopkins and: http://clutchyhopkins.blogspot.com

KICK DRUM COMIX #1!!!

It's been about two years since I've produced a brand-new original comic book. That's why I'm super-excited to announce this all-new, two-issue series I'm calling KICK DRUM COMIX!!! Both books are 48 pages each, in blazing FULL COLOR, all new original material and characters. I don't want to say much about it other than most of the comics are inspired by music in one way or another. The first issue is made up of two stories, "Death of the Popmaster" and "Coltrane's Reed". The first issue hits in Sept, the second in Oct. Published by Image Comics. Peep the preview of #1 above!
