Writer/Director Alex Cox is making a comic book sequel to his classic cult film "Repo Man". I did this pin-up for it!

StenSOUL/Food One Collab

My buddy StenSOUL in St Louis is doing these dope collabo luchador masks. He sent me this die-cut mask on wood, which he had painted white and stenciled in the eyes and mouth areas with black spray paint. Then I cut loose on the rest of it. He's doing a whole series of these with a bunch of rad artists. The kid is doing some really fresh shit. Check out more at:

Check this little dude out! His name is Arlo. His dad, Allan, comissioned me to do a painting for his nursery. I am honored to have this kid look at one of my paintings everyday when he wakes up. A future funk soldier in training, me thinks...

New Paintings

Here are segments from some of the new paintings I've been working on for the big gallery show in New York next month. Feb 16th, to be precise. I just fedexed off a whole box of new images today! If you're in the east coast I would highly recommend stopping by for the party!

Four in One

I had this piece of paper sitting by my computer. A couple days ago I drew a picture of me and Smoke Dog on it for the back cover of the new Stupid Comics: Phoenix Edition collection (due out March 19!). Then I started making a list of all the pieces I was sending to NY for my gallery show next month. Then Allen Hui, the dude designing the back cover of the new Stupid collection, asked me to draw a cityscape for the back cover. So that was scribbled in at the top and scanned. Then today I used the paper to make some notes and I did some ballpoint pen sketches at the bottom. It's not that exciting, really. But it IS four in one...

Stan Lee Show in LA Tues Night!

From my pals at Gallery 1988:
Tomorrow night marks the debut of Gallery1988's "Under The Influence" series with an homage to comic book legend, Stan Lee. 100 artists have created original work depicting their favorite comic book characters. This show is presented in association with our neighbors and landmark comic book store, Golden Apple.
The show opens tomorrow, Tuesday, January 8th with an opening reception from 7-11PM. The exhibition will run through February 1st.
The opening reception is free of charge and open to all ages. Stan Lee will be attending the event and we suggest arriving early.
