This week something very strange happened to me. I was able to meet the elusive and mysterious musical genius known as Clutchy Hopkins. I found myself out by Joshua Tree in the desert Thurs night. Someone tipped me off that Clutchy was recording at an associate's studio out there. So some guy came and met me in the Food-4-Less parking lot and took me into this dirt road into the heart of the desert. I was led into this studio, and there was Clutchy, jamming away on some of the illest tunes I've ever heard. He let me hang out and listen. I took a couple photos of the studio and he got mad at me. So then I just painted the door of the studio while Clutchy jammed! We even did a collabo piece together (the fifth photo up there). I crashed out on the studio floor and the next day everyone was gone. Fucking weird. But no doubt about it, Clutchy is the real deal, and can play music like no other. Pure magic.
